Terms of use

These terms govern your use of the Rüebli app and website. By using Rüebli, you agree to them.

1. The service

Rüebli provides language-learning lessons, speech practice, dictionaries, and AI-generated tutoring. Features may vary by language, device, and release. Model assets may require a one-time download and significant device storage.

2. Licence and acceptable use

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for lawful, non-commercial learning. You may not copy, resell, redistribute, reverse engineer, bypass security, interfere with the service, or use Rüebli in a way that infringes another person’s rights, except where applicable law expressly permits it.

3. AI and learning content

AI-generated responses can be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate. Rüebli is a learning aid, not a certified teacher, translator, examiner, or source of professional advice. Verify important information independently. Your progress in the app does not guarantee a particular exam result or level of fluency.

4. Your device and downloads

You are responsible for a compatible device, sufficient storage, internet access needed to obtain the app and model assets, and any related provider charges. Once installed, supported learning features are designed to run offline. Do not close the app or interrupt connectivity while required assets are being installed.

5. Intellectual property

Rüebli, its logo, software, interface, original lessons, and other original materials are owned by the publisher or its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Third-party models, dictionaries, voices, and other components remain subject to their respective licences.

6. Availability and changes

We may improve, add, remove, or discontinue features, language editions, or compatibility. We aim for a reliable service but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Where required by law, material changes that negatively affect a paid purchase will be handled under your mandatory consumer rights.

7. Warranty and liability

Rüebli is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for intent, gross negligence, or injury where applicable. Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable loss arising from use of the app.

8. Ending use

You may stop using Rüebli and uninstall it at any time. We may suspend access to a distributed service if use is unlawful, abusive, or materially breaches these terms. Clauses that by their nature should continue—including intellectual property and liability provisions—survive termination.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Swiss law, without taking away any mandatory consumer protections or courts available to you under the law of your country of residence.
