1. Who is responsible?

Data Stand AI GmbH, Uetlibergstrasse 88, 8045 Zurich, Switzerland, is the controller for the limited personal data described in this policy. Rüebli is a product of Data Stand AI GmbH. Full publisher details are listed in our Imprint. Privacy questions can be sent to contact@ruebli.app.

2. Data used by the app

Voice and microphone

The microphone is active only while you are taking part in a speaking lesson. Audio and the resulting transcript are processed and stored on your phone. They are never uploaded or sent to us. Microphone access can be withdrawn in your device settings.

Learning data

Your settings, learning level, vocabulary, lesson progress, and conversation history may be stored locally so the app can personalize lessons and continue where you left off. We cannot view this data and do not use it for advertising, tracking, profiling outside the app, or training models.

On-device AI models

Rüebli uses automatic speech recognition (ASR), text-to-speech (TTS), and language-model (LLM) assets. These assets are downloaded to your phone once, or delivered with the app, and then run locally. A download request necessarily reveals ordinary connection information—such as IP address, time, and requested file—to the app store or file host that delivers the asset, but no voice, transcript, or learning content is included in that request.

3. Data we do not collect through the app

No account or cloud profile.
No voice recordings or transcripts sent to us.
No lesson history or AI conversations sent to us.
No advertising identifiers, behavioural analytics, or cross-app tracking.
No sale or sharing of personal data.

4. Website and contact

This website does not set advertising or analytics cookies and does not load third-party fonts. Like nearly every website, its hosting provider may temporarily process technical request data such as IP address, browser information, requested page, and time to securely deliver the site and prevent abuse. If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any information you choose to include, and use it only to respond and maintain necessary correspondence.

5. App stores and device services

Your app store, operating-system provider, internet provider, or backup provider may independently process data under its own terms. Rüebli does not control those services. If device backup is enabled, locally stored app data may be included in a backup managed by your device provider.

6. Retention and deletion

App data remains on your phone until you clear it in the app or device settings, or uninstall the app. Model assets remain until removed with the app or by a supported storage control. Website security logs are kept only as long as reasonably necessary for security and operation. Contact messages are retained while needed to answer your request and meet applicable record-keeping duties.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to information, access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or data portability. Because we do not receive your in-app learning data, we cannot access or delete it for you; you control it on your device. For data you send us directly, contact us at the address above. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

8. Children

Rüebli is a general-audience learning app and is not directed to children below the minimum age required to use digital services independently in their country. A parent or guardian should supervise use where local law requires it.

9. Security and changes

Keeping sensitive learning activity on-device reduces exposure, but no device or software is completely secure. Keep your operating system updated and protect your device. We may update this policy when the product or law changes; the effective date above will show the latest revision. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
